At CYDES 2025, capacity building isn’t just a theme — it’s a mission. As part of our commitment to developing the next generation of cyber security leaders, this year’s edition proudly features two exciting competitions designed to test skill, strategy, and cyber resilience: the ASEAN MYCyber Hero and the ICS Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge.

Explore each competition below to see how we’re shaping future defenders of the digital frontier.

ASEAN MYCyber Hero 2025

Unleashing ASEAN’s Young Cyber Talents

As Malaysia leads the ASEAN cyber agenda in 2025, CYDES presents the ASEAN MYCyberHero competition — a regional platform that empowers youth to defend the digital frontier. This gamified, challenge-based event invites emerging cyber talents from ASEAN countries to solve simulated incidents, showcase critical thinking, and demonstrate real-time cyber defence strategies.
Organised by Micro Concept Tech (MCT) and proudly sponsored by AIS, this initiative fosters regional cooperation, talent exchange, and the shaping of future cyber leaders.

Meet the Top 10 Malaysian teams selected to represent the nation at the international stage of ASEAN MYCyberHero 2025.
